There were two small seeds in the ground next to each other.
The first seed said, “I want to grow!” I want my stem to grow up to the sun and my roots to go deep into the ground. I want my flowers to let everyone know it’s spring!
That’s how it got bigger.
IHe said, “I’m scared.” My roots may be damaged if I begin to develop because they are so delicate. If I extend my stem, the wind may tear me apart. If I grow, someone may select me.
So it remained under the earth, protected.
One day, a hungry bird came and searched the earth for food.
The animal found and ate the second seed.
Fear keeps you from growing, but taking a chance gives you life.
