This means that people should get ready for possibly dangerous weather in the next 48 hours.
The NHS has cautioned the public against stepping outside in the early morning and at night as temperatures drop below freezing, citing the increased risk of falls, slips, and cold-related illnesses.
Significant Locations Impacted
The following locations are under a yellow weather warning:
British Columbia If the weather is right, mountains could get 10 cm of snow.
The occurrence of ice weather has created dangerous driving conditions on the roads in Northern England.
A weather warning has been issued for the Midlands and Wales (Wales): It is possible that freezing rain could fall, which will create dangerous conditions on the streets.
Guidance from the NHS regarding health
Health experts are emphasizing the importance of exercising caution around vulnerable individuals, such as the elderly, young children, and those with existing health issues.
Dr. Elaine Thomson, a spokesperson for the NHS, stated, “We are observing a rise in cases associated with falls and hypothermia.”
