The Tale of Two Brothers
Once upon a time in a quiet village, there lived two brothers, Rayaan and Zayaan. Rayaan, the elder, was well-behaved, responsible, and respected by everyone. Zayaan, the younger, was mischievous and always up to pranks.
One evening, their mother asked them both to go get some water from their nearby well.
Rayaan went attentively, whereas Zayaan decided to make a prank out of this whole task.
Ayaan carefully filled up two buckets and also managed to help an old lady whilst Zayaan poured water playfully around the well, which made the path become slippery, causing people to slip.
As Zayaan stood there proudly amused at his silly prank, a little old man approached the well to fill his bucket with water, but before he reached the well, he suddenly slipped and cried in pain, clutching his sprained ankle.
Zayaan guiltily rushed to help but realized he couldn’t undo the harm. Meanwhile, Rayaan returned, offering assistance and earning the little old man’s gratitude.
That evening, their father sat them down. “Zayaan,” he said, “being naughty may seem fun, but your actions have consequences. A good heart and helpful nature like Rayaan’s makes the world better.”
Zayaan apologized, promising to mend his ways. Over time, he learned from Rayaan, becoming kinder and a responsible human being.
Moral: Mischief may amuse, but kindness and responsibility win respect and trust.
