Top 5 natural skincare ingredients for anti aging
Are natural skincare products really not effective at all? Well, that’s not true because there are few natural skincare ingredients that are actually effective, but you have to know how to use them and what results can you expect from them?
Remember just because it’s something safe to eat doesn’t mean that it can be applied on skin as well; similarly, you can’t eat what you apply on your skin, so think wisely. Today at Sphere medium I’ll share with you top 5 natural skincare ingredients for anti-aging. So let’s take a break from all chemical-based skincare products, and dive into the world of natural skincare.
Natural skincare ingredients for anti-aging
Natural skincare ingredient #2: rose petal powder
Rose is safe for all skin types and is great for anti-aging. Rose petal powder is really effective when used as a mask or in a scrub. I like to use it with milk or yogurt when my skin needs hydration, and I’ve also used it with aloe Vera for a face pack. When mixed with shower gel, you’ll get a beautiful exfoliating body wash, which is helpful in removing tan on your arms and legs. When rose petal powder is used as a face pack, it gives instant chemical and physical exfoliation to reveal glowing, bright skin.
Natural skincare ingredient #3: Aloe Vera
This one plant has so many ways to use it for hair and skin. Many people think aloe vera is a moisturizer, but actually it’s a humectant, which means it’s a water-absorbing substance, so it’s going to absorb water from your skin and will dry your skin out, so it’s better to apply it over a moist face and try to seal it with a little bit of your regular moisturizer (especially if you have dry skin).
One amazing property of aloe vera that nobody really talks about is that it has skin-lightening and brightening properties like kojic acid. Therefore, do use it for tackling your uneven skin tone.
Now it’s a very versatile ingredient, used in many ways, but some individuals might get allergic to fresh aloe vera no matter how long you let the sap from the leaf drain out. Then in that case, do try to find the 99 percent pure aloe vera gel.
Natural skincare ingredient #4: glycerin
How many of you have heard about the lemon, glycerin, and rose water mixture? It’s quite a popular DIY used by many in winters. However, I’m not comfortable using lemon directly on skin, so I tweaked this a bit and removed lemon and it works equally good for me for providing hydration to my skin in cold weather.
Glycerin here is the magic ingredient that helps in retaining moisture in skin. But make sure never to use it directly, as it can cause irritation. Glycerin can be mixed with rosewater as above or in DIY masks with yogurt and gram flour. Also, adding a few drops of glycerin in your regular moisturizer will amp up the moisture game of your face cream in winters.
Natural skincare ingredient #5: castor oil
Castor oil is such an amazing oil that has many benefits. It reduces fine lines and wrinkles, stimulates collagen production, improves skin elasticity, and reduces inflammation. It can penetrate deep into skin. Also, it can be applied as the last layer over your moisturizer. Just dab a drop and pat it all over your face at night.
Despite being a thick oil, it’s non-comedogenic, meaning it doesn’t clog pores. Castor oil is literally a holy grail for anti-aging.
