Chanda and Mr fox
Chanda a little duck lived at the lush green valley in a quiet pond nestled in between some beautiful tall reeds.
Chanda was fairly small as compared to her siblings and very rarely quacked.
Her brothers and sisters would tease her, calling her
“Silent Chanda,”
Saying her voice didn’t matter.
On a fine day Chanda and her siblings were all enjoying themselves at the large pond when suddenly Chanda felt as if they were being watched.
The Naughty Mr fox was sneakily peeking through the tall reeds, and his eyes were fixated on the ducklings.
Chanda saw the danger ahead before anyone else did but froze in fear.
Summoning every ounce of courage, Chanda let out the loudest quack she could muster. “QUACK! QUACK!” echoed across the pond. The other ducks froze and spotted the fox. The alarmed mother duck flapped her wings furiously, and the flock fled to safety.
The fox, startled by the commotion, slunk away into the forest.
From that day on, Chanda wasn’t “Silent Chanda” anymore.
Her family admired her bravery, and she learned that even the smallest voice could make a big difference.
Moral: The moral of this short story is that one must always be confident within themselves and not under any circumstance underestimate themselves. Determination and courage can get us the furthest even if your steps are small to begin with—never ever doubt your abilities.
